H.R. 309 establishes a clinical care commission to evaluate and recommend solutions regarding better coordinating federal programs related to complex metabolic or autoimmune disorders, a disease resulting from insulin deficiency or resistance, or complications caused by any such disease. The bill requires the Commission to report its recommendations not later than three years after its first meeting. The bill sunsets the Commission at the end of fiscal year 2021.
